Membership of TCOIA consists of a professionally-diverse body of individuals who have demonstrated sustained excellence in their career paths, typically holding director-level or higher ranking. Having navigated challenges, conflicts, and impasses throughout their careers, TCOIA provides a platform where members can engage in strategic discourse and expert collaboration to achieve professional insights, breakthroughs, and shared success.

The mission of The Council on Interdisciplinary Advancement (TCOIA) is to bring together experienced professionals from different disciplines to share ideas, insights, opportunities, and practical lessons that help professionals plan their careers while thinking more broadly about their work and the evolving professional landscape.

The organization promotes cross-disciplinary thinking: the belief that meaningful innovation and better decision-making often happen when insights from different industries, professions, and life experiences intersect. TCOIA creates a platform for members to publish ideas, highlight expertise, and share perspectives that can help others navigate change and growth in their fields.
